Located at Mile 480 on the Upper Mississippi River, the Rock Island River Terminal provides a variety of cargo transfer and storage services. This operation also offers barge loading and unloading with rail and truck transfer, storage and warehousing, and commodity packaging and screening.

This property includes six covered storage buildings and handles a variety of commodities including fertilizer, alloys, salt, pig iron, steel, coal, grain, and animal feed additives. Optimally located for inter-modal shifting, the Rock Island River Terminal connects to the Iowa Interstate Railroad, CP Rail, and the BN and to interstates 80, 74, and 88.

Alter River Terminal is strategically located a short distance south of Minneapolis and St. Paul. This sizable storage and handling facility was built in 2003 and has over 300,000 square feet of space. This property also features a 33,000 square foot steel warehouse building and more than 10,000 tons of storage capacity.

Conveniently positioned on the Union Pacific Railroad, Alter River Terminal has 4,900 feet of track for easy tow to train transmission. Furthermore, the property includes a slack water barge slip and 1,600 feet of available seawall. These state-of-the-art facilities and the operation’s prime location allow for highly efficient cargo transfer--barges are unloaded at a rate of 400 tons per hour, rail cars are loaded in fifteen minutes, and trucks are filled in only five minutes.
